From 4:30pm July 13, 2007 through 2pm on July 15, 2007 (Friday to Sunday), after the close of the Annual Business Meeting, the Easier Softer Way S.L.A.A. Group will present an open weekend workshop, taking participants through theoriginal recipe to "take the Steps" – The Twelve Steps of S.L.A.A. This delivery of the original recipe to "take the Steps" – using and translating existing literature, predominantly the book Alcoholics Anonymous (as stated on pages 66-67 of our Basic Text, Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous) - will be conducted at the Airport Hilton in San AntonioTexas – the same location the Annual Business Meeting is being held. This lecture style workshop is presented by two experienced members of S.L.A.A. –Bob F. (Omaha, NE) and Rob K. (Tampa, FL). We will use the S.L.A.A. Basic Text (Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous), the TwelveSteps and Twelve Traditions plus, Alcoholics Anonymous (the A.A. Big Book) both of thelater from the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous. Mostly we use the A.A. Big Book! Since this workshop is an open event, everyone is welcome to attend including "significant others." All in attendance must be registered for the event. This workshop will be recorded. Anonymity will be respected. Space is limited to about 60 people, so register early! Sleeping Accommodations are available at the Hilton Airport San Antonio Use the ABM negotiated rate of $89.00 plus tax per night (while it lasts)! Make your room reservations by May 7th, 2007! Room reservations with the Hilton may be made by contacting the Hilton direct. Use the rate code "TAF" by calling 1-888-728-3031, or faxing them your request to 210-277-4695. This rate may not be good after May 7th, so call right away!Also, there are only a limited number of sleeping rooms set aside at this rate for this weekend and they are on a first come first serve basis! Participants are responsible for their own food and lodging during the weekend. The registration for the Easier Softer Way S.L.A.A. Workshop will only cover attendance at the Easier Softer Way Workshop. The Easier Softer Way "Twelve-Steps" it’s way into Texas! All registrations are non-refundable after May 30, 2007 (regardless of when they were mailed). Name changes will be permitted up to July 1, 2007. For a name change, the original registrant will need to contact us at easiersofterway@yahoo.com and advise us who will be attending intheir place. Once you register, if you cannot attend and the May 30th deadline has passed, findsomeone else to attend in your place and get them to purchase your registration from you and let us know. The only exception to this is that after May 30, 2007 we will maintain a refund request waitlist, based on order of request sent to us. Should the event sell out, additional people show upseeking to attend and we know you will not be attending so we can "resell" your unused space at the workshop, we will then refund to you the registration amount you paid after the event.The Easier Softer Way S.L.A.A. Group is not responsible for your hotel room reservations or any cancellation fee the Hilton may charge you if you do not cancel within their policies. This is all offered in an effort to be clear and fair - not to be unkind. The Easier Softer Way S.L.A.A. Group is a small group, with limited resources and must make certain that this event satisfies the 7th Tradition – is thus "self-supporting."Those who wish may donate to the Easier Softer Way S.L.A.A. Group. No individual person will profit from registration or donation funds (just like your local S.L.A.A. group). The expenses of the event and those delivering this workshop are simply reimbursed. If there are any funds left over after expenses, they will be used towards regular expenses of the group (i.e. P.O. Box rent, supplies, delegate expenses to the ABM, etc.).
